The Ranger Suite, Main House
Feel the luxury of this first floor room with soft gold painted walls and satin burgundy drapes. This large room easily accommodates two mahogany four-post beds. The queen bed is there for those wishing to share a bed, but if not, the twin bed can accommodate your traveling companion.
Please Note: Due to the total maximum occupancy permitted at the Inn, Ranger can only accommodate two persons, even though there are two beds in the room. No exceptions possible.
Ranger was one of the most well known of the ships built in Portsmouth Harbor. She was a 20-gun frigate commanded by John Paul Jones, known as the founder of the U.S. Navy. In Ranger, Jones scoured the English and Irish coasts during the Revolutionary War. In 1778 Ranger became the first US ship recognized by a foreign power.
Other antiques include a mahogany English armoire, marble lamp stands, and a slant-top secretary desk with shield back chair. The pine floors are original to the house, circa 1820. Watch the flat screen TV or curl up with a good book on the Sheraton-style loveseat or wingback chair. The private en-suite bath features a full shower/tub unit.
Amenities: Queen Bed, Twin Bed, Air Conditioning, Private Bath with tub/shower, Wi-Fi, Flat-screen TV, Love Seat, and Writing Desk.
